Privacy policy

Your files stay on your computer.

Last updated November 1, 2026

Limekit processes your images, video, audio, subtitles and PDFs on your own computer. We never receive your files, their names, their contents or where you keep them. This page lists the little the app does send, and why.

What the app sends

To run your trial and license
On first launch the app registers your computer with a device ID. It's a one-way hash made from your computer's machine ID and operating system install ID, so it can't be turned back into either. We keep it with the date we first saw it, so reinstalling doesn't restart the trial. When you buy, your license records its ID, plan, the devices it's active on, and when it was issued and expires.
To download optional modules
Some tools need a larger download the first time, like the speech models for Auto Subtitles. When you install one, we record which module and version, for which system, and when. We use this to keep the right files available and to see which ones people use.
To check for updates
The app asks which modules and versions are available for your operating system, processor type and app version.

What we don't collect

  • Your files, their names or contents, or the folders they're in.
  • What you do in the app. There's no usage tracking by default.
  • Crash reports and anonymous usage counts, unless you choose to turn them on in the app.

Payments

Purchases are handled by our payment provider, [payment provider], which acts as the merchant of record. They collect your name, email address and payment details under their own privacy policy. We receive what's needed to issue and manage your license.

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. It and our servers run on Cloudflare, which processes standard connection data, such as your IP address, to deliver pages and keep the service secure.

Your choices

You can use every tool without a connection once its modules are installed. To ask about the data tied to your device or license, or to have it deleted, contact us at [contact email].
