Does Limekit upload my files?
No. Every tool runs on your computer, and your files, their names and where they're kept never leave it.
Do I need an internet connection?
Not to use the tools. Limekit goes online to start your trial, check your license, get updates, and download a tool's extras the first time you use it.
Which computers does it run on?
macOS (Apple silicon and Intel), Windows 10 and 11 (x64 and Arm), and Linux (x64, as an AppImage or .deb). On a Mac, the AI tools need Apple silicon.
Is it a subscription?
No. Try it free, then buy a license once.
What happens when the trial ends?
Limekit opens read-only: you can look through your history and buy a license, but not run new jobs until you do.
How many computers can I use it on?
Up to 3 at a time with one license.
Why do some tools need a download?
Auto Subtitles, Remove Background, Erase Objects and the video downloaders use larger pieces, like speech and image models, so they download the first time you open the tool instead of making everyone install them. Each one is checked before it installs, then works offline.
